One time, two male officemates of mine were wearing the same shirt. When this happens, we Filipinos usually joke about it by saying, "What production number have you both prepared for us today?" Since most that perform in groups wear the same costume.
So I tried the same approach with my Indian officemates. But one of them gave me a rather rude response. He said, "Come into the other room with me, and I'll give you a dance number." I didn't expect such response to come from my colleagues. So instead of giving a cutting remark, I just turned my back on him.
I don't know if I overreacted on his comment. Maybe I've offended him somehow with my joke, that's why he retaliated with such suggestion. But I certainly felt violated by his remark.
