An excerpt from my friend's office experience here in Singapore...
Friend : "I would like to make an appointment with the doctor for next Saturday."
Singaporean : "Miss, can I have your name?"
Friend : "My name is GIZELLE CRUZ."
Singaporean : "Could you spell your first name for me?"
Friend : "G-I-Z as in Zebra-E-L-L-E."
Singaporean : "Ah. Gizebraelle."
Hahaha.
